Paul is a licensed professional counselor who has over 11 years of experience in the mental health field working with a variety of ages and presenting concerns. He is passionate about making each client feel comfortable, safe, and respected in therapy. He is eager to provide an excellent therapy experience for his clients, working with them to encourage personal growth and improved well-being.
Paul is a native of Boston and attended Keene State College in New Hampshire where he obtained his bachelor degree in Psychology. After completing his undergraduate training, he worked at a residential treatment program for clients with emotional and behavioral issues. During this time, he developed a passion for the mental health field.
After moving to Nashville in 2012, Paul earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lipscomb University. After graduate school, he worked as a therapist at community mental health center where he treated a diverse group of individuals with varying mental health concerns. He has extensive experience in working with adults and adolescents who present with issues such as anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, depression, grief, LGBTQIA+ identity, and anger management. He uses an eclectic approach in his work, with evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Trauma-Focused CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) tailored for each individual's presenting concerns.
Outside the office, Paul loves to spend time with his wife and son, play sports and work on a good home project. On the weekends you’ll find him chasing his son around or potentially at your local hardware store getting into trouble.
